History:
In 1956 Donald Healey switched to the “6-cylinder” with a new model called the Austin Healey 100/6 whose line was directly inspired by the 4-cylinder 100 but with an entirely new bodywork (the car was larger).
With the code BN4 and 11,300 examples produced, it took its name from the 6-cylinder engine that replaced the 4-cylinder of the original Healey 100.
The 100/6 also gained two small seats behind the two bucket seats and became a 2+2.
